On February 1, our guild members began two weeks of volunteering at the Briscoe Museum of Western Art in conjunction with their Pony Express Love Letters event. Maggie and Leslie taught calligraphy for 4 hours, while Laura Herold addressed envelopes for the people who wanted to send Valentines. Other members volunteered right up until Valentine’s Day. The museum delivers the Valentines locally by Pony Express (i.e., volunteer bicylists) and snail mails the rest all over the world. Shown are some of the participants in the class and their artwork.
